We all know the dangers of trusting a single source, but with information so readily today, it is a lesson our students in the middle years need to learn. Informational literacy skills focus on not only helping students navigating how to find and evaluate information, but also discovering the tools available to access information, as well as understanding how information is presented.
Informational Literacy skills can be broken into four main groups of skills, listed below. Click on each of the groups for different resources and strategies to explicitly teach these skills to students, as well as reinforce them.
